Text Messages not receiving on Roaming

Hi, 

I am travelling to Pakistan and SMS messages are not being received. I need it urgently. I got a message that receiving text messages are free. but I don't know what is the thing blocking them. My sim is already connected to the local network.

If you got a text to say messages are free then surely you are receiving them?

Either way you can call O2 free from abroad and the call is free

Unfortunately no. I am only able to figure out that I can call any number from my O2 sim. but no one is able to call me. neither I am receiving any texts. I do not know why is that. ☹️
