Sneaky charge for calling virgin

I got charged £12.50 for calling virgin media help from my 02 phone. I think this was very sneaky and underhanded as I am a virgin customer for over 15 years and have only 1 phone on 02 which recently transitioned from virgin as I was told you had merged. I was calling about this transition and other virgin services

As I have never been charged for calling Virgin Media Customer Services on 0345 454 1111

0845 454 1111 is the really old number that Virgin need to kill off once and for all, as it is chargable by o2 and all UK networks. 

You need to speak to Virgin to get the call costs refunded, you need to call 0345 454 1111 and they I would hope give you a refund...

Thanks, the first thing I did and virgin refunded. I was merely pointing out this issue. If I called from my house phone or any of the other 3 mobiles in the house I wouldn't have been charged.  This number is in my contacts.

I would be very careful, as EE, Three and Vodafone and BT all charge for 0845 numbers and the costs are eyewatering. 

But glad you got it refunded... 
It might also be worth posting on the Virgin Community as well, so they can see it and also take action as well.
