Here Unblock your mobile device | Phones sims and devices | Help | O2

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

More likely the phone itself is locked to a different network rather than the SIM

Can you put the SIM back to see if it is OK?

What is the phone and where is it from?

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Following the advice of @Enlli, you might want to read these pages :-

Mobile unlocking: Unlock phone savings for less - MSE (moneysavingexpert.com)

Mobile companies now banned from selling locked handsets - Ofcom

However, it is fair to say that many handsets purchased before December 2021 were actually unlocked.
