Hi. I was given a STAC number from my old provider (Three mobile) . They said I have to use it with another provider (I am with O2 now) in order to be cancelled. Can I do this online, or it is better to go into a O2 shop, and ask them to help?

You'll need to call customer service.
Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thank you  MI5, very kind of you!

I was in town centre Sunday, at the O2 shop. I ask one of the assistants about my problem; the answer was: they can't do anything because it is too late: I supposed to give them this STAC number in the same day when I signed the contract with O2.  They advised me to phone Three mobile (the old provider) and ask them to cancel the contract without STAC number......
