Premium messages to 9017

Can you please tell me what these silent text messages are from my phone to this premium 9017 number? They happen at early hours in the morning and I've only just noticed them as free premium messages on my bill.  

 

My SMS totals are very high each month but it's not me actually sending the messages.  In fact my sent messages on my phone show this as there is no history of interaction.

 

Can I get some Info around this please?

Weirdly enough I wasn't charged for any.  It appears to have been happening since march.  Really strange

did you manage to stop these? i have noticed the same on my bill. happening since march. i need to stop them as when i went overseas it charged me for using phone however, i never sent them. i called o2 who refunded the amount. however, they cant stop them

Just contacted O2 on Twitter. 9017 is the O2 Visual Voicemail number
