Hi,

over the past year or so the connectivity in our area has dramatically decreased. I can no longer get a stable connection outdoors or indoors. The phone either shows as 3G and connection speed is unusable or shows as a very low 5g signal which doesn’t work at all.

is there anywhere I can make an official complaint about coverage as the map for the area shows 5g coverage outside and 4g coverage inside. It is extremely rare this happens and no faults are showing in the area after reporting multiple times.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

@Trees

Never trust the coverage maps, they are a computer simulation based on perfect conditions, and it does say this on the maps..

All you can do is keep checking https://status.o2.co.uk and see if there is an issue with it, and also these guides Guide: How can I sort out my network issues?  Guide: Is the network down for me or everyone?

And as per your contract terms o2 do not guarantee coverage or speeds in any area, so any complaint will fall on deaf ears im afraid..

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company

The process for complaints, should you wish to pursue it, is here:

https://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain

https://www.o2.co.uk/documents/456036/3782743/Customer+Complaints+code+250924+V0.2.comp.pdf

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

This app is mentioned in the guides already provided to you @Trees ; it is surprisingly useful and I recommend that you download it and give it a try :-

My Network App - Find Out More About Your Network Coverage | Apps | O2

https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/my-network

Understand your network coverage

With the My Network app you can keep an eye on your coverage, wherever you are. Download the app and you’ll be able to:

- check the status of our network in your area – you don’t even need to enter your postcode
- test your network speeds
- report any issues with your service.

It’s simple to use and means that you can check the network without having to visit the main site or even enter a postcode.
