Does anyone know why I cannot use my iPhone 2g which is on the 02 network with an 02 SIM card.

it’s possible the phone could be blocked or something I’m not sure

2g connectivity in my area is supposed to be good according to the check I did on the signal check

APN : payandgo.o2.co.uk

Username : vertigo

Password : password

OK, so based on the evidence and checks completed so far, it would appear that the phone is faulty or barred.

You can check the IMEI number here https://www.imei.info/
