I have a serious problem with coverage. I can hardly use my phone at home and its distressing. Even visitors to my home are frustrated.

It would appear that you are in a dead spot or your house construction is blocking the signal. 

What exactly can't you use?

Data, calls or both?

You can use wifi calling if your phone supports it https://www.o2.co.uk/connectivity/wifi-and-4g-calling
