Hi, I'm needing help with Sim card identification.
I have a motorola E6 Plus mobile I had on a Tesco contact,I ordered a new sim card that has the standard - mini and nano cards in it but the chip on it is to small. The nano has 3 sections from right to left but the original that came out of the phone has 4 sections more like an older SIM which you can see in my avatar image.
Can anyone assist me with identifying this?

Have you tried the new sim in the phone?
Yours is a very old sim which has now been superseded by a unified standard which is backwards compatible.

@Dez7878 according Moto website, your phone takes the micro SIM. One up from the smallest one. The middle one you have with SIM card you receive.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
You are correct it does have the size you say but it is the actual metal piece on the SIM card that is different.
If you look at my avatar photo you can see what I mean as that is the sim i removed from the phone in question.

Hi, thanks for your response.
No this is not the case, the photo of the sim you have uploaded has 3 contact points at the top and the bottom but the one I removed that is in my avatar photo has 4 at the top and 4 at the bottom.

Hi, thanks for your response.
Yes the sim I removed from the phone has exactly the same chip as the sim at the top of the photo you uploaded so a normal 3 piece sim just won't work in the phone.

@Dez7878 There are only three sizes of sim cards. Yours can't be any different:
Sim card sizes explained: Nano SIM, Micro SIM, or Standard SIM? (3g.co.uk)
If you're having an issue with the sim you have, call into an O2 store if you have one nearby, and they'll give you a new sim for your phone and set it up. Be sure to bring photo identification with you.

Hi, I'm sorry but did you read the question? The size of the sim is not what is in question here as I know it is a micro sim it is the size/style of the chip on the sim card that is different. Look at my avatar photo and see the chip in question and you will see what I am going on about. Thanks
