until recently this feature worked with no problems, when I need to authenticate a transaction for my banking, the bank calls and i need to enter a PIN displayed on the screen. However the last couple of weeks, the call never comes through then times out on the bank end. The same thing happened when i tried my credit card provider so it's not specific to my bank.
This means I currently cannot use a lot of banking features.
I called O2 customer helpline and was advised to reset some things on my phone, but this hasn't helped at all.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hi all, thanks for the replies, I called my bank and got it sorted, the number they call from for the authentication had been blocked on my phone, I’ve no idea how 🤷 anyway, they identified the number, so I could unblock it and everything works fine now 🙂

Have you spoken to the bank / credit card company, as they could be using the same provider for these insecure methods of authentication?
Was your number ported in at all?
As if your phone receives normal calls, then the issue isn't with o2?
But by all means you can persevere with o2 customer services
