How long for new sim to activate?

Hi, I've recently upgraded. Just st upmy new phone with the 5g sim. How long until the sim in my old phone doesn't work and and new one does?

Did you do a sim swap from old sim to new? Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update 

If so keep rebooting your phone until your old sim loses service

If not, carry on using your old sim in your phone for now.
