I just got a notification from my bank account saying my sum of payment for O2 was declined due to the wrong CVV number, but I pay through cheques? What does this mean? Is it fraud?

The CVV number is the 3 digits on the back of your debit or credit card.
It's not required when paying by cheque, so check the email to see if it's a scam trying to get your card details.
Check with your bank if in doubt about it.
