I recently received a galaxy watch and a O2 pay monthly sim which I was very happy about. I understood that us use the watch to uts full potential I would need to get an esim costing about £5 per month. However when I when to arrange this in store today I was informed that unlike multiple other mobile phone networks O2 are unable to link 2 devices to 1 sim (number) via an esim. Unless I had an apple device. Not sure how apple sims are different to an android sim??? Staff instore very un willing to help or give any advice. Are you able to give any idea when I might use my watch to its full potential, without it needing a whole new phone number .

The app on your Samsung device does all that, you just need to set everything up via the Samsung Wear App.
All sims have a phone number assigned as that is how they are identified for billing along with the sim card number.
As the Phone needs to be connected to Wifi or Mobile Data, the Apple Watch works exactly the same.

We're just customers like you but it sounds as if you need someone to access your account which can't be done from here
Give O2 a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (Contract) OR 4445 or 0344 809 222 (PAYG)
Or you can message O2 on social media on Instagram https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW).
