I am travelling in France and my iPhone is on roaming. I have a monthly contract with 15G data. My phone finds a network but only shows 3G which doesn’t allow me to use maps or connect to the internet. Please can you help. Is there a block on my data usage abroad?

If you are only getting 3G then that is the local operator who is only allowing 3G (so probably has an issue), try switching to another network using the Manual Network search option.
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company

A few more things to try.
* Make sure data roaming and mobile data is turned on in your phone's settings.
* Manually search for another network
* If you have an iPhone change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"
* Try toggling Airplane mode on/off (it often helps kickstart things)
* Drop down to 3G and see if that helps.
* Contact O2 to see if there are any roaming bars on the account
If you message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
