I use code ##21# and get a message "Call forwarding Connection Problem or invalid MMI code (801)

The codes don't work if you have WiFi calling enabled on your phone @Graham112 .
Try turning it off, reboot your phone and then send the code again.

The Samsung Galaxy A52 5 G phone came with the Wi-Fi Calling in Settings already switched off. O2 advisors varied a great deal in their knowledge of the problem. One however has told me O2 will deactivate the Call Forwarding in the next 24 hours for me. I await with in hope and will update.

O2 have now taken the Call Divert Off and the phone now accepts calls again without diverting but the divert symbol on the phone is still there. So I will not play about with it and accept that the phone is working normally but without the ability to divert calls to voicemail.
