I have had issues with a pathetically slow 4G data rate in the past. It has been a while now and it still hasn't improved.
Even when I have 4 bars of signal strength the data rate is extremely slow.

@Furnz

Check speeds on 3g and if faster, it will indicate network congestion slowing things down.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Thanks, I tried the 3G network and there was an improvement so I guess the 4G network is saturated.

It's quite common in lots of places unfortunately @Furnz

5g should help when it gets rolled out.
