Activating voicemail on ported number

I swapped from Vodafone to 02 about a week ago, but still don't have voicemail set up. I've tried calling 1750, as per support recommendations, but receive the following message, "Your messaging service could not be set up as we have not received your number".

I called support today and they told me I need to wait another three weeks for my next bill before voicemail will be activated. Is this right, as it seems odd to not have voicemail for a month?

There was also no mention of this when I signed up, so not sure if this is the official answer.

Thanks

@Dev12

Strange things like this can occur on O2.

Personally I would ask O2 to reset my voicemail account first rather than waiting 3 weeks to find out that was all that was needed.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hey @Dev12 did you speak to O2 about getting your voicemail setup and if so what was the result?
