I need to activate my new sim in my iPhone 12 but they keep sending ID texts to my old sim which was damaged and no longer working. How do I activate new sim on same number without picking up the text messages?

You need to contact O2.

You can call via Skype.
All numbers are in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support 
When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling.
Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
You can also try saying "Upgrade" or "Fraud" to be connected to an advisor.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.

@Clara_83 You could also call into an O2 store, if you have one nearby, and they will activate the sim for you. Make sure you bring identification with you, if you choose to do that.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
