voice authorization failure while abroad?

Hi all: i have a pay as you go sim, with international favourites, bb bolton, and bb roaming. i am in france and everything works (txting, browsing both with safari and bb browser, google maps etc) EXCEPT i can't make a phone call. when i try to make a call I get an error message that says "authorization failure" and the call does not go through - no dial tone, nothing.  my roaming shows the Orange network, and i show full bars and 3G connection, but no phone.  any ideas?   is there a network setting that i am missing?   heading to spain soon and would be good to have this working just in case

Hi Jeff,

 

 

It is possible that the local network is having issues, and may not be you even tho your phone is showing good coverage.

 

You could check with o2 Customer Services that your account is set Ok.

 

You could either use the abroad telephone number if you can use a working phone, or alternatively use Online Live Chat.
