selling my phone does the manufacturer warranty apply.

Hello everybody.

 

I have just upgraded my phone which of course means I have paid off my previous phone(Galaxy A5) the phone is just 6 months old. the recycling quote from O2 was a joke to be honest.

 

 I am currently in the process of advertising it for sale, My question is ,now that the phone is my property does the manufacturer warranty apply ie with Samsung it's 2 years, or will I have problems as it was previously a contract phone? obviously selling it with a 18 month warranty balance would be an advantage. I am aware that O2 phones carry a 12 month guarantee.

Samsung offer a 2 year international warranty which will transfer to the new owner no problem at all.
They will just need proof or purchase to invoke any claims.

Yes you sell it with warranty intact but give your customer a copy of your invoice and also a bill of sale.

@fireguy1978 Please note that Samsung's warranty would probably only cover Europe, and is not an international warranty as such.
