I have just signed up to o2. When I signed up for the o2 pay monthly sim I provided a pac code to switch my number over with me...I now have the sim with it's own number and it's a lot more memorable than my old number (which I never memorized) Is this o2 sim going to automatically switch to my old number or can I stop this by simply not calling o2 up and keep this new number ?

You'd be advised to call O2 to cancel the change Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Just say it's related to fraud to get through.

@jonc747 You need to keep trying any and all numbers in the link. Use the option for fraud or lost/stolen if you have to. O2's handling of their customer service has been shambolic at best.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
