payment delay

Is it possible to delay a payment being taken from my account?

I use direct debit payments but my wages have been delayed and i know there isn't going to be enough in my account to cover the payment so to avoid charges i wondered if there was a way to delay the payment, just for a week?

Call 202 straight away and discuss it with them otherwise the system will just block your account.

It can be changed if you are further than 6 days away from payment.
If not a manual payment would be advised if you can raise the funds.

Use onine services for your bank to manage your bank account.

You can then cancel any direct debit - saving any reference numbers by pen and paper - then set them up again on dates to suit yourself.

The bank system normally needs minimum 24 hours notice and it costs nothing.

Too late for this query I expect but useful for future reference.

You would still need to make a manual payment to cover that month though or o2 would slap a late payment on you.

Also make sure you inform o2 of any changes you make to avoid the same.
