out of contract but no upgrade

i am on a pay monthly contract (18 months) which ran out 4 months ago.When i view my upgrade options it says "you are not ready to upgrade yet" Anyone explain this to me please

Hi I went to upgrade my sim only deal n it was going thru ok but I went away to do something else now wen I try n upgrade it says I’ve got to wait 2 months

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

If you call 202, when it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen if you have to.
