o2 refresh and fast track upgrade

Anonymous
Not applicable

hi well on my o2 account it tells me that i can do a fast tract upgrade to o2 refresh at a small cost and wanted to know more information on how it works as i've read the o2 refresh page to get some idea but im still a little puzzled on how it excatly works out and i'm thinking of doing it instore as i'm intersted in 1 of 2 phones that are on this tariff.

My second question is if i did decide to do a fast track upgrade would i need to do the payment the same day or would it automactly be added to my next o2 bill and also would i need to have another credit check done on me or would i not need to worry as i'll be doing a fast tract upgrade

Hi metalhead.

To answer your questions:

  • Refresh contracts give you the chance to upgrade earlier at a reduced cost. This is possible by splitting the payments for your airtime (minutes text and data) and the phone itself. So as an example; if you are paying £37 per month and want to upgrade 10 months early it would have previously cost £370 (37 per month * 10 months remaining), under refresh asuming £20 handset cost, ten months earlier would only be £200. If you have a decent phone already you can even use O2 Recycle to put towards the cost.

  • The fast track upgrade fee is payable immediately.

  • You will be credit checked again due to the nature of the new style Refresh contracts.

Hope this helps.

hi thanks for the reply and the one of 2 phones i'm looking at is either the nokia lumia 610 or the sony xperia t on the lowest tariff with the phone being free

for the xperia t i would be looking at £12.00 for the tariff and £10 for the phone plan and the for the 620 i'd be looking at £12.00 for the tariff and £7.00 for the phone plan.

and also should i in theory have any troubles as my credit history is anything between low and good or would my best bet to go into my local o2 store and ask them in their seeing as when i try on the o2 chat they hardly answer
