I've been experiencing some difficulties with my O2 bill, and it seems that it has now been passed on to a debt collector. Could you provide me with some guidance on how to handle this situation effectively and resolve my outstanding debt with O2? Additionally, once I have paid the full amount, will my services be reconnected by O2?

@Wizjager

You now need to pay the collection agency to clear the debt.

Your contract with O2 will now have been terminated so you will have to try and get another contract now. I doubt O2 will allow that so try others.

Your credit rating will have also taken a hit, so getting credit elsewhere may also be difficult now, unfortunately.

You should have contacted O2 to discuss your difficulties which could have prevented this from escalating.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

It depends on how deliquent you account has become, as sometimes the DCA can for a fee reconnect you, but you will need to setup a Direct Debit, and if you go into arrears again your account will be permanently terminated..

Also note the following any upgrades will be barred for the next upto 6 months, and you will need to pay by Direct Debit.

The best thing to do is speak to the DCA and see what they say..

If I don't get reconnected, can I retrieve my previous number? O2 stated that it would take six months, but next month will mark the end of the sixth month.

You'd need to discuss with O2 customer services.

They may be able to generate your PAC but it's not guaranteed

@Wizjager Even if you were able to retrieve your number you'd be hard pressed to get a contract with another provider. Your credit rating will be pretty low if you've been in arrears for that length of time.
