I've lost my phone and have got a lost reference number as I would like to claim my replacement

Im assuming you mean a crime reference number from the police.

If so give this to whatever insurance company your making a claim with.

Follow the advice to contact the network to block the sim card and imei number of the phone too.

A lost reference number from where? Have you reported it lost to O2? To the police? Do you have the IMEI number? This is just a customer forum. You need to contact Customer Services. There is a link at the bottom of the page.
