hi

i am on a rolling 30 day sim only contract but would like to take our a phone and airtime contract with another provider

the FAQ states:

'If you want to end your contract but keep your number, we'll give you a PAC code to give to your new network. The code will be valid for 30 days. If you use it to switch to a new network, your contract with us will be cancelled once the switching process has completed.'

Does this mean if I use a PAC code from o2, my contract with them is cancelled immediately and I will only be billed for the airtime bill until I transferred to my new provider? Or will I be charged for a 30 day notice period from transferring instead?

Hope this makes sense!

Hi @LaurenJB

Once you give your PAC to your new provider, this will end your contract with O2.

There is no longer a 30 day notice period.

thanks, although I have just found out it was a 12m contract which started 20 March 2020.

If i use a PAC code, I am guessing I will have to pay a early termination fee as I still have 2 months left?

Yes you would have to pay the balance owing which, as you say, is two months
