Scary - I adopt a simple rule. I refuse to accept that someone cold calling me is who they say they are, I don't care if they are legit or not you won't get any joy out of me cold calling me.

My pet peeve is actually saying hello to an automated voice  telling me that I'm owed money from an accident I didn't have.. Weird I wonder if I'm the only one who tells it where to go tongue x

I don't get any cold calls anymore, however whenever I did I'd never pick up. I'd then just Google the number and see what pops up. Most of the time its just companies trying to say you're entitled to money after an accident or some such.

Either way best bet is just to leave it to ring out. Maybe even just block the number if you know its just a scam or rubbish.

They honestly don't bother me but I don't get that many as to be annoying. Just pressing end call works fine.

I answer them and as soon as I know they are junk calls I leave them on the call. They want to pay to waste money that's their funeral
