As you cannot use the phone to make calls try live chat and ask for a callback.

I take it you do not have a direct debit setup? I would advise that the T&C state it must be paid by dd and for refresh contracts 2 are in place 1 call plan 1 phone plan.

Welcome to the Comminuty Forum,

Dial 202 from your O2 phone and speak to the Uk Customer Services Department.

They will be able to assist.

Or use From a landline 0844 809 0202 5p / min or use a friends/families  O2 powered mobile phone.

Live Chat are non uk outsourced callcentres who we at the moment advise not to use for account based enquiries.

If paying by direct debit is now mandatory on contracts, why is this still happening?

Im guessing dd fail due to non payment or the account holder cancelling the set up via their bank and will not consent to re setting it up.

I'm sure those are some of the reasons why, but I think people taking out long term phone contracts need to be made to understand that this isn't some frivolous venture, and like any other contract, if you fail to pay it will affect your credit rating.

The simple solution as always is to ensure the direct debit is in place and that funds are there when it is due to be paid.

I suspect the OP either canceled the DD or it bounced over Christmas? ??

Call o2 customer services on 202, get it paid then put DD back in place.
