@fee3
If you have mobile data and data roaming off AT ALL TIMES, you should not be charged.
We're just customers like you but it sounds as if you need someone to access your account which can't be done from here
Give O2 a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (Contract) OR 4445 or 0344 809 222 (PAYG)
Or you can message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), hopefully they should be able to help.

While waiting for O2 to answer, as per @Cleoriffs advice above, @fee3 - take look at this post and see if it helps - as I imagine you are not in the UK if you are seeing roaming charges at all: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly/Data-Roaming-Charges-from-US-despite-having-Data-Roaming-O...

I am having the same issue despite Roaming and Data switched off (as per o2's instructions) and been complaining to o2 since May 2023. Now they are telling me to take out SIM when abroad!!?? Rediculous. Didn't have problem when with Virgin before o2 took over my account!!!!

Did you read the linked article up above, @koogeybear - https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly/Data-Roaming-Charges-from-US-despite-having-Data-Roaming-O...
It seems to relate to certain apps sending silent SMS messages, and if you are roaming in an area under Travel Bolt-On cover, triggering the £6 charge, or worse yet in a country with no roaming partner.

Yes, had done so thanks anyway. My problem is incoming calls being received abroad despite Roaming and Mobile Data being switched off (as per o2 instructions) Every time this happens I get an overseas call charge despite not answering the call. O2 sat this should not happen but can't give me the reason and have, as yet, not refunded me.

Turning off roaming only relates to data use, not calls and texts.
You need to understand how your phone works.
Voicemail also needs to be off as this will invoke a charge if it answers the call even if no message is left.

Guide: All you need to know about O2 Voicemail 901 contains the info on enabling and disabling voicemail - best done before you leave the UK, not all networks understand the short codes correctly, @koogeybear.

Thank you, sadly this is not what o2 told me when I first complained in May 2023 and they told me (as I had been doing) to turn off Roaming and Mobile Data and this would stop incurring call charges whilst abroad. No mention made about Vouce mails getting through and again had not opened. Yesterday o2 said the only way to stop any if it was to remove my SIM card whilst abroad. I never had the problem before switching from Virgin to o2 when they consolidated mobile business. Switching Voice mail won't fix problem either as the initial incoming call will still get through.
