Can i cancel my contract even if it due to expire 26th may 2014?

Yes but you would have to pay up the remaining months.

 

Cancel any bolt ons to make it cheaper.

I need to cancel my contract as I have been made redundant from my work and have no way of continuing too pay for the remainder months?

Another option would be to sell the phone and put the proceeds towards the cost of cancelling the contract. There is no option of cancelling without paying the contract off in full.

If you took the contract out after March 2012 you can't even downgrade the contract tariff monthly cost.

I'm sorry to learn you have been made redundant.

Lots of us have been there and I hope you find re employment ASAP.

Hopefully any form of redundancy payout will help.

Look at downgrading any sky or virgin Tv etc in order to afford your contract if applicable.
