No - you are not eligible to cancel for that.

O2 can add International restrictions if you use your phone a lot abroad (the same way your credit card company can block your credit card). You can use Skype or somebody else's phone to call CS and they can take a payment towards your recent charges to unbar the phone.

O2 always alert you if you are using it excessively and are at risk of it being cut off by email, call or sms.

Unfortunately you will have to find some way to call CS to discuss the reasons why you have been cut off Fair usage policy applies on all unlimited tariffs which are outlined in the T&C's. If you feel you are been cut off because you are abroad and your bill has exceeded a set amount you may have to make an advanced payment to restore the service.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

If you can get access to Skype you can try calling O2 on +448000288151. I used that number several years ago when I was abroad. I'm not sure if it's still a valid number, but as it's free, it's worth a try.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Platinum member doesn't give you any grounds to leave without penalties, use a landline if possible to phone, don't use live chat for accounts queries. If you want to leave pay what you owe & your fee that you are quoted
