Resolved! Increase in tariff part way through contract

I have just been informed that my tariff is increasing part way through my contract. I am currently on a pay monthly contract. Can I change to a sim only deal with no penalties as a result of the tariff increase?

I have a 24 month contract which gives 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 250 data. My upgrade date is 28 April 2015. I'd like more data and wonder if I can switch tariff without penalty before that upgrade date please?

I’m not very good with keeping on top of my bank account activity but I have noticed that i’m paying 4 direct debits to O2 but I only have 3 contracts.Any obvious reason for this before I try to contact them direct?Thank you.
