O2 Haven't taken my direct debit

Hi guys, Just a quick one; o2 haven't taken this month's bill. I understand it's Labour Day (01/05 at time of writing) in Europe, so is it a case of O2's operations being based in the EU and alas, payment not taken today. Or is there an issue?
