I have a 5g sim only contract but a iPhone 11 which is not capable of 5g. Sim error is displayed. What can I do

A 5g SIM will still work in a 4g phone. 

Is the SIM activated?

Has it been inserted correctly?

Do you have other SIM cards you can try in the phone etc.....?

Thanks for reply, I swapped from ee to o2. Ee has cut off, o2 app shows new sim as active but sim failure message is displayed on phone. I have master reset and cleaned sim but no good

Sounds like you SIM may be faulty.

Are you able to call O2 from another phone or Skype?
