WARNING!!! Old Default O2 Contract - Stopping mortgage!!

Anonymous
Not applicable

o2 have placed a default on my credit file in 2011, I have only just notice this.

My mortagage adviser mentioned that my credit rating was fine and when the mortage when through they declined due to a £32 outstanding bill, saying that is was too much risk! The house sale needs to go thorugh this week or I will lose out on the property.

The bill was due to changing contracts in 2011 from a consumer account to a business account. I was told the account was settled in full. I didn't receive any requests for the £32 or was I contacted on my phone number which they had, because they were my telephone provider!

I have been trying to contact o2 through the following avenues but am not having much luck.

Do you have any other advice?

ronan.dunne@o2.com

complaintreviewservice@o2.com

CreditFileReferrals@o2.com

All customer service representatives are staying that they cannot contact the Credit file Referrals team them selves, as the office does not have a phone number!!!!

This matter is ruining my situation and the people head in my house

O2 if you are listening,  your customer service is shocking and we need this rectified IMMEDIATELY!

This could end up costing you way more than £32 unless you act!

One of the many aspects of a company that just doesn't seem to give a damn these days.

I would have thought that any company that gave a damn would give the customer the option of paying first - it's seems they relish in destroying people credit ratings!
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

Its not legal, formal demand MUST be issued prior to a default. And legally O2 will have to prove the default was issued correctly should should OP to raise an action with the county court.
