Hi all,
OK... have put my existing (working) PAYG O2 SIM card in my nos (sealed box) Vodafone iPhone 4s and successfully unlocked it via iTunes (Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked), waited a couple of hours only to find I've NO signal (phone is showing: ooooo O2-UK), 3G (internet) and everything else is working fine but unable to send or receive calls, messages etc. Have tried every conceivable reset and restore and If you can't make or receive calls on your iPhone - Apple Support ...all to no avail !
Anyone know how to resolve this ?

Well if the sim is ok in another phone and you see o2 uk and a signal I am not sure what is wrong . Did you follow the checkmend advice above ?
From your op what is "nos (sealed box) Vodafone iPhone 4" ?

Here's the weird thing...
Yes... CheckMEND has 'advised' the phone is blocked, but Vodafone have 'confimed' it is NOT blocked !
"nos (sealed box) Vodafone iPhone 4s" means it's a new old stock iPhone 4s in a factory sealed box and originaly locked to Vodafone

Sorry, forgot to metion... that's the whole point, my phone is NOT blocked (according to Vodafone), it is unlocked (according to iTunes), SIM card works in my OTHER iPhone, I can see the carrier (O2-UK) on THIS iPhone and there are no network issues... but NO signal !

@Anonymous Where did you buy the phone from? (I know the question has been asked but not sure if I have missed the answer?) If Checkmend are saying the phone is barred then it looks as if you may have a problem..

Barring a phone is when it has been reported lost or stolen and is put on a database for blacklisted phones
Usually so someone can claim off the insurance

2 types of block / lock
a sim lock to a carrier or a network bar by imei on all networks sounds like you have the latter
