Using your phone in Guadeloupe

I've checked online and it says that I can use my phone in Guadeloupe as if I was at home even though it is not in Europe. When I phoned up O2 they said no.

I'm not sure what to believe?

Re: Using your phone in Guadeloupe

If it’s not in Europe then O2 are correct as you will be charged international rates

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Re: Using your phone in Guadeloupe

From Wiki..

"Guadeloupe, like the other overseas departments, is an integral part of France. As a constituent territory of the European Union and the Eurozone, the euro is its official currency"

Not being good at 'Geography' this was a lesson learnt for me Smiley Wink

What's in a name eh?

I can see how they would be easily mistaken.

Good to know that the phone can be used as at home but sad that customer service got it wrong again.
