Upgraded Sim Only Tarriff but being charged £10 more?

Hi guys, 

 

I am a little confused so I need help please. 

 

I took up the offer of upgrading my existing SIM only deal from £20.50 per month (20gb data) to the offer of 50GB of 4G data for £30 as advertised on the O2 site. This was a Black Friday/ Cyber Monday deal ending tomorrow night). 

 

I checked my account and also when I got the automated message upon upgrading and I was shocked to see that I am being charged £40 instead of £30. 

 

Why am I being charged £10 more than the advertised price on the site?

 

Any help on this please?

 

I appreciate any insight.

Thanks for that MI5- I checked the post under mone and saw that the discounts are applied at the bill stage.
