Upgrade call from e2save

Anonymous
Not applicable

I received a call from a company called e2save the other day saying that they were working for o2 and that I could uprgade over the phone. I knew I was due for an upgrade so I went ahead with it but I haven't heard anything since. It's been about 10 days now and when I just contacted o2, they said that there was no upgrade visible on my account.

Has anyone else had issues with this? I'm concerned that if I upgrade now and then receive a phone from these e2save people I'll be paying twice?? I'm so confused! Have I been scammed?

It will be a cold call as they know your close to upgrading.

Generally it's advised not to do this on a cold call.

You should get some form if communication via text or e mail to confirm.

Try their sales number. 01509 615 475

I would google their details and make contact. Either to cancel or get more info.

If you have handed over your bank account details and have heard nothing about this upgrade, I think I would be checking my bank statement.

If it was E2Save you should be ok, but I'm sure they're not supposed to phone you like this.

You can normally visit an ATM at your bank and check if any direct debits have been set up ,and cancel them if necessary or use internet or telephone banking.

My experience is applicable to using HSBC.
Not sure about the others.
