I have a simo at the moment and in the upgrde section it says can upgrade sim plan now but can't to a device for 4mths 22 days.

Does that mean in 4mths 22 days I can upgrade to a phone plan as long as I pay my bills with no credit check as I normally fail because of my past many years ago.

Cheers

Yes, that's correct.

O2 don't credit check on upgrades as they use your payment history to decide if you are credit worthy.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

As long as you pay in full and on time, you'll be fine @Mobilemandan0
