The ways of O2 are past finding out.

As the phone will be on a credit agreement there will at least be a soft credit check, whether that has changed I've not heard anything

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@kloppo964 - With O2 you'll need to pass a credit check to get any of their pay monthly products. O2 will pass on your details to their credit reference agency partners (Cifas, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion) who will conduct the search (read O2's page on credit checks here: https://www.o2.co.uk/termsandconditions/privacy-policy

That date only means you are eligible to upgrade, it doesnt mean you will be accepted for a device plan, but as long as you have kept your payments upto date, and havent missed any or late then you should be ok.

But you know until you try and upgrade.

Then go for it - if it fails, you will know soon enough, I guess.
