My wife got a text earlier today saying to 'enter the attached code to retrieve her O2 account. If you did not authorise this then contact O2'. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you

Hi @Anonymous
Receiving a text costs you nothing so I presume you must have subscribed to something via a link in FB or some other social media site http://www.o2.co.uk/help/everything-else/extras-and-premium-rates
If you contact CS they may be able to help if you tell them the number that the texts come from. Ring 202 contract 4445 Payg

Log in here http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2 and check that all looks normal.
If not, call 202 immediately, but do not follow any links off the text message at all.

iv'e been receiving unusual text messages.and they have been taking my credit.iv'e never subscribed to anything like that.its took about £10 so far.anyone tell me how they got number

When someone uses voice text in their car and the other person is using just text does the person in the car receive their messages by voice or do they have to look at the text. Sorry does that make any sense

It depends on the settings on your own phone. You can set it to read out new messages depending on the phone you have.

Open the message and check details. It should have come from a short 5 code digit
Enter that number here and follow the instructions to contact them and stop the texts : http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/
Ask them to refund the charges or make a complaint through the PhonePayPlus website.

I had an o2 text like that but I went into an o2 shop who helped me out.
