I'm going to Thailand from UK on Sunday. I was looking at the Travel bolt-on. Presumably if I use Wi-Fi and WhatsApp while I'm there, I won't need the bolt-on? (I only text and make calls - minimal use of data).

Hi @Maxxx
It's always best to have the O2 Travel Bolt on just in case. It's free to apply and £6 per day only if you use it.

Without a bolt on even minimal use of data would cost you these are the standard rates
Standard rates
Making calls | £2/min |
Receiving calls | £2/min |
Sending texts | 50p/text |
Using data | £7.20/MB |

Thanks Enlli,
I think I will add it on then. But when I go to "payment" it says the "Standard Rates in our Europe Zone" will be removed straight away. Does this mean that if I use my phone on the 2 days before I go, I'll be charged?

You will not be charged for calls made from the UK or any EU country.

That's a pointless message as EU roaming is included in your tariff.
