Text messages after migration from TalkTalk

Since migrating my mobile from TalkTalk some months ago, I get a text message very morning telling me my SIM card has been changed. They are apparently from my landline which is still with TalkTalk, so I've contacted them and they have no idea about it. Is there any possibility they are being generated by the O2 system?

Thanks

You may have set up a SIM change warning which would send a message but I can't see why it would do it daily.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hi @beachmat

I can't see why these would be generated by O2? When a family member of mine changed to O2 from EE he certainly didn't get constant texts from O2 informing him his sim card had been changed.

The fact you are with Talk Talk for Broadband really points to them as the network sending the texts.

Thanks, yes, that's what I thought. I just wanted to make sure as I'm getting nowhere with TalkTalk.

Hello @beachmat

I came to o2 from TalkTalk mobile I had mobile, BB and LLine all at the same time.

I still have Broadband & Landline with TT

Nothing like that happened to me when changing from TTmobile to O2mobile

Hope you get this sorted out soon.

Best wishes and welcome to the o2 Community ForumWelcome

Thanks - is a SIM change warning a phone setting, or an account setting, or what?

It would be in the security settings on your phone.

Can't see it actually, unless it's part of Find My Phone?

I can see on other phones the SIM change alert is part of Find My Phone, but there is no option for that on mine, only to turn FMP on or off. I've turned it off anyway.
