So here's a bit of a conundrum.

Husband and I both on O2. He text me today and I never received it. First thing he asked when he got home was did you get my text? (He had won a bowls tournament)

Things we have tried.

He can call me and I get the call

I can text him and he receives my text.

He text me on the landline. I received that.

My son has text me and I received that.

He has text my son who received the text.

Both phones rebooted. He text me after the reboot, I never received it.

So apparently I am the only one not getting a text from him. Though getting them from others.

Thoughts?

So you have Wi-Fi calling activated on phone maybe that could be it

Not activated that @liggerz87 so it's nothing to do wifi calling sorry to say.

Also I would imagine that would affect more than one person texting me?

Well thanks for all your help but it's just resolved itself!!!!!!!

All 9 text messages from him have just come in together immediately after I made my last post.

Pretty weird and there must be some reason for the delay but it's sorted now.

I will just see if it happens again and if it does then think about a new sim...or launching the phone. Smiley Very Happy

Must have been some reason for the delay and it was only from his phone but as I say all of them have arrived in one mad rush.

Thanks again everyone.

Glad it's sorted :smile:I would think about changing the sim, though that should affect all texts. Best bet is to force it on to Vodafone and then back to O2. It will kickstart the messaging service again and clear any stuck messages.

It was so funny when they all came in together. I have the F1 theme as my ringtone and it went on and on and on....

Ray said 'what the hell is happening now'? I said 'YOUR texts were obviously on a delay mate and 2 hrs later they have all decided to come in at once' :joy:

Sounds like it was nothing to do with either of you, but it was O2's fault. Probably the stock 'network congestion' excuse.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
