Hi there. I sent a text to a friend in the USA on 8th June. Just one text but it was quite a long one. However, I now have an extra charge on this months bill of £17.28. On downloading my bill I can see they've charged me 0.54pence 32 times! I remember years ago if your text went over a maximum number of characters it would roll over into a second text message and you'd be charged for two text messages etc, but I didn't think this was still the case? Unfortunately I can't actually see how long the text I sent was as when I click on it I can only see the first part of the message, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't 32 pages worth! It's impossible to get through to O2 and I appreciate they're very busy at present, but I just wondered if this charge seemed normal and I just need to suck it up (and WhatsApp her in future!), or whether I should persue O2 and query it as being excessively high? Thanks in advance.

It's always worth asking customer service for a refund as it does sound excessive.
