I am going away and wanting to upgrade my tariff so I have more data, my new data starts 4th of the month, when would I need to change it?

You can upgrade when you like, although you would still be billed for your old tariff for the following month with a pro-rata amount added for the new tariff.

When you upgrade, your tariff changes immediately.

There's no need to wait for your billing period.
