I’ve recently changed my tariff from unlimited data to 20gb. Do I still have unlimited data until my billing date or is the change immediate?
thanks

@Lorrainekay1980

As you have posted on the Pay Monthly thread, I can tell you from experience that a sim only tariff change  is immediate. If you check My O2 you will see it will show the change. My grandson changed to 100GB last week and it was an immediate change. I was on the phone to him while he did it and by the end of the call his MY O2 reflected the new tariff

Thanks for the correction @Cleoriff - I was going by info here:

Flexible tariffs on O2 Refresh

...

How do flexible tariffs work?

You can change tariffs 30 days after you receive your new phone. You’ll be able to move between the other tariffs that were available on your phone when you bought it, subject to an annual RPI adjustment. Simply sign in to My O2, and choose the tariff you want to move to.

Your new tariff will start from the day of your next billing date.

...

and

...

Can existing customers change tariffs?

Whether you’re a new or existing customer, you can change tariffs, but how much flexibility you have depends on which tariff you’ve chosen. Most of our tariffs will let you change to a higher tariff, if you’re eligible. If you’re already on, or upgrade to a flexible tariff, you can move to a higher or lower tariff, once every billing month. Find out more about your tariff terms.

I guess you have to go by what your MyO2 tells you, as not everyone may be on a Flexible Tariff.

@pgn

The problem is @Lorrainekay1980 didn't explain in full what tariff she is attempting to change. Either way, she's covered for everything now. 😂

Tariff changes at the next billing date.

Upgrades are immediate.

Simples.
