Solved: Swapping phone numbers between 2 contracts

Just started a whole new contract to get new phone and still want to keep paying my old contract.

Can I swap my existing number to new contract (I have larger data allowance on new) and swap the new number to old contract. I dont want to end old contract until device is paid off

You can swap sim cards between phones but not numbers as transferring one number will cancel the account associated with it and incur charges.
